Ernie Harwell Made My Day

In case you didn’t hear it, Cabbie and I interviewed the great EErnieharwellrnie Harwell on Baseball Talk this morning. At 90, he’s still sharp and his voice is so powerful it gives you chills. I asked him about being in attendance at the Giants vs. Dodgers game with the "shot heard around the world."

This day was the highlight of my career. A great man…a great baseball historian. Thanks Ernie for making my day! We will be editing this broadcast this week, because we had some technical difficulties.

So, if you’re laying around on any Sunday, give us a listen at: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/baseballtalk or you can call in at: (646) 478-4570. Baseball Talk is also part of the AOL Network and you can email us at: baseballtalk@aol.com or IM at Baseball Talk. We are also part of the My Podcast Community where you can download to your Ipod, MP3 player, etc.

Until then, see you in the radio booth.

Zoe Rice of Pick Me Up Some Mets, will be our special guest. Besides having a mean curveball on covering the Mets, you can also find her at Shea rooting her team on, hanging with Yale alumn Ron Darling and hanging out at SNY parties. She also contributes articles to MLB.com and has written for various other publications and also authored the book "Pick Me Up." We are also waiting to hear if Maureen Ryan of YankeesChick.com will appear on the round table. If not, we have the bases covered with other guests.
