Preston Wilson

I’m sure all Mets’ fans remember Preston Wilson and now, so will all Long Island Ducks’ fans. Went to the Ducks’ game on Friday night and caught a glimpse of Preston Wilson playing for them. Also, was happy to see Gary Carter managing them and pulling double-duty as third base coach.

Preston Wilson’s dream is to make it back into the Major Leagues or be spotted by a Major League organization. Here’s a look at his prior Major League experience.
Preston Wilson’s MLB Resume
Mets 1998
Marlins 1998-2002
Rockies 2003-2005
Nationals 2005
Astros 2006
Cardinals 2006-2007
Until then, see ya at the park!

Dugout Notes

Attention all 1986 Mets fans, Gary Carter is now the manager of the Long Island Ducks. OK, so Carter lobbied to be Mets manager last season when Willie Randolph was on the “hot seat.” It was critcal and the Mets made it known. So Carter will manage the Ducks and hopefully have another shot at becoming a big league manager somewhere else. If not, he’ll join Sparky Lyle, Tommy John and Tim Raines, to just name a few who are managing in the Atlantic League.
