The Quotable

Here’s another brilliant quote from Rogers Hornsby.

“People ask me what I do in the winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.” — Rogers Hornsby
Preston Wilson Update
In my previous post, I mentioned about seeing Preston Wilson play for the Long Island Ducks. Well, sadly the next day he was hit by pitch in the face and had his nose broken. He’s awaiting word on whether he needs to have surgery. Most likely, his season is over.
Until then, see ya at the park!

Preston Wilson

I’m sure all Mets’ fans remember Preston Wilson and now, so will all Long Island Ducks’ fans. Went to the Ducks’ game on Friday night and caught a glimpse of Preston Wilson playing for them. Also, was happy to see Gary Carter managing them and pulling double-duty as third base coach.

Preston Wilson’s dream is to make it back into the Major Leagues or be spotted by a Major League organization. Here’s a look at his prior Major League experience.
